Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: CookSchedule: Tuesday through Saturday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Salary: $18.50 per hour *dependent upon experience* Location: California KentuckyDivision: Administrative Services Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to prepare meals for clients and ensure all procedures for infection control safety and sanitation are in compliance with federal, state and local government inspections as they relate to food service. The Cook has a good working knowledge of food services. Essential Job Function: Prepares meals for clients.Ensures that all procedures for infection control and sanitation are properly followed.Ensure all procedures for food preparation are followed and in compliance with food manager certification requirements.Orders supplies as needed, receives and stocks accordingly.Completes reports and forms necessary to comply with procedures. Assists in preparation for special events and holidays. Attends and participates in team meetings, staff meetings, and supervision as scheduled. Works collaboratively and communicates appropriately with other staff members. Responds respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, classes, race, ethnic backgrounds, and religions in a manner that recognizes, affirms, and values the worth of individuals, families, and communities and protects and preserves the dignity of each.Adheres to ethical standards of professionalism including maintaining confidentiality of each child and their family, in compliance with HIPAA regulations and agency policies. Job Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDMust be 21 years of age Have a current valid driver's licenseMust complete Food Manager Certification Recommended Qualifications: Food service experience in preparation and cook is preferred.Skills: Ability to maintain records and documentation. Good management and organizational skills.Overall sound decision-making skills and ability to carry out decisions and tasks.Must be able to coordinate and perform a number of different tasks related to food service.Must have a good working knowledge of food services.
