This role focuses on preparing ingredients, following standardized recipes, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met. The Cook I will contribute to a positive customer experience by producing meals that meet company quality and presentation standards. This position requires collaboration with kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and timely food service. Ultimately, the Cook I supports the overall success of the food service operation by maintaining a clean, organized, and productive kitchen environment.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in a food service or retail kitchen environment.Certification in food safety or ServSafe credential.Familiarity with inventory management and kitchen equipment operation.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, verifying quality and quantity.Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient food service during operating hours.Skills:The required skills such as basic cooking techniques and food safety knowledge are applied daily to prepare meals that meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Attention to detail ensures recipes are followed precisely, contributing to consistent food quality and customer satisfaction. Physical stamina and time management skills help maintain productivity during busy service periods. Preferred skills like prior kitchen experience and food safety certification enhance efficiency and compliance with health codes. Effective communication and teamwork skills facilitate smooth coordination with colleagues, ensuring a positive and organized kitchen environment.
