OverviewPresbyterian is seeking a Cook IIIPrepare hot food items for all areas of the department. Prepare food for cold prep grab and go and bulk production retail production and short order grill. Prep food items as needed for menu cycles. May act as charge.This is a Full Time position - Exempt: NoJob is based at Presbyterian Rust Medical CtrWork hours: Varied Days and HoursIdeal Candidate: Ten or more years experience in high volume preparation and cooking of food in a hotel restaurant cafeteria catering firm government or private institutionQualificationsTen or more years experience in high volume preparation and cooking of food in a hotel restaurant cafeteria catering firm government or private institution or internal candidate who demonstrates competency in at least four stations in the kitchen.Less than High School.ResponsibilitiesAssists in the preparation of hot food items for all areas as indicated by menu cycles.Responsible for preliminary preparation of food items for next day as indicated by menu cycle.Ability to read production tickets Assists with routine cleaning and sanitation of areas.Assists with serving food items as indicated by established workflowMust demonstrate competency in knife skillsMust demonstrate competency in food service safety practices and procedures and temperature controlAssists with fruit and vegetable preparation and food portioning and other bulk food preparationAssists with preparing Grab and Go and other retail itemsMust be proficient in utilization of flat top grill convection oven deep fat fryer quick cook ovens and char broiler.Must be proficient in utilization of additional cooking equipment including slicer standing mixer and combi oven tilt skillet soup kettlesMust be proficient in various cooking methods including pan frying sauting deep frying boiling and baking/roasting.
