Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Job Summary:The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and standards. This role works in a fast-paced environment to ensure food is properly cooked, plated, and served in a timely and sanitary manner. The line cook maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items on the line according to specifications and recipes.Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.Ensure food preparation meets quality and portion standards.Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and tools.Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.Handle food in a safe and organized manner to prevent cross-contamination.Monitor food levels and communicate low stock to management.Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures.Requirements:Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards.Ability to follow recipes and multi-task efficiently.Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 50 lbs.Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Team player with a positive attitude.
