Sonnet Hill Senior Living, located in San Jose, CA is seeking a passionate, professional, and customer-oriented Cook to provide an extraordinary dining experience for the residents in our community. Responsibilities of the CookPreparation and service of quality meals for all residents including those with special diet needs. Follows menu program or an approved substitute menu to ensure that nutritional needs and preferences of the residents are met. Ensures plate presentation is attractive and appetizing for the resident population. Assist in planning and coordinating special events for marketing and activities. Continuously monitor and appropriately address resident concerns and preferences. Adheres to proper food handling and sanitation guidelines. Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity. Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures. Completes state required training upon hire and annually. Required ExperiencePossess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent. Line cook experience in a “Full Scratch Kitchen or Restaurant”2 to 5 years' experience on a fast-paced line, or working a prep cook line stationAbility to execute flawless dishes in a timely mannerSenior Living experience a plusBasic computer skills. Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.
