Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPART-TIME COOKNo Late Hours, Flexible Scheduling, Holiday & Birthday Pay, Accruing Paid Time OffHours: Week 1 - Sunday, 7:00am-3:00pm & 3:00pm-7:00pm, Monday & Friday, 3:00pm-7:00pmWeek 2 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 3:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday, 7:00am-3:00pm & 3:00pm-7:00pmSouth Franklin Circle, a part of Judson Senior Living, is a premier independent living community located in the Cleveland suburb of Chagrin Falls, offering casual and fine dining.What will I do in this role with South Franklin Circle?As a Cook, supporting our mission will include the following responsibilities:Prepare and serve high quality, attractive and tasty food items at the correct temperature and portion size and in accordance with applicable government regulations and established policies and procedures.Demonstrate a knowledge of, and the ability to prepare, finish and serve special diets and proper consistencies.Maintain awareness of members' special diets, portion sizes and requests, and communicates with nursing daily about any changes in member diets or status.Communicates stock needs, diet changes, important member information or activity to fellow associates and manager in a timely manner.Cleans and sanitizes dishware, kitchen and pantry after preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Maintains clean refrigerators, stove, storage areas and equipment, and deposits garbage, linen, pots and pans, etc., to proper areas after service.Properly stores or disposes of food, in accordance with safe food-handling procedures, label and date containers as required by ODH.What do I need to be an Employee with South Franklin Circle?High school diploma or GED.2 years full time or equivalent part-time experience using basic standard cooking techniques for the preparation and cooking of food in a fine dining restaurant, casual dining cafeteria, hospital, or assisted living and/or a Diploma or certificate from a recognized trade, technical or vocational school at high school or college such as Tri- C with a major in culinary arts.ServSafe food handler certification (if needed, training can be provided).Flexible availability; Shifts available - mornings, afternoons, early evenings, weekends and some holidays.What makes South Franklin Circle an employer of choice?A CAREER with South Franklin Circle means you will be connected, inspired and engaged to make a difference in the lives of others every day!
