Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription The cook is responsible for overseeing the preparation and service of food for all of the residents, while meeting the nutritional needs of the residents. All of this must be done in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Food Services Director to ensure that quality food service is provided at all times. Key Responsibilities Prepare various meals, snacks, and desserts according to residents' dietary needs/requirements Clean/ Sanitize cooking stations, kitchen equipment, utensils, etc. Assist with serving Residents Occasionally stock/ restock incoming food truck orders as well as monitor inventory Record and monitor Freezer/ refrigerator temperatures, as well as immediately report any inaccuracies to management if applicable Follow all proper food safety/handlingEducation Skills and Expertise Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.  Must possess as a minimum, a high school diploma.
