Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:JOB SUMMARYAccurately and efficiently cook sandwiches, pizzas, appetizers, meats, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSetting up and closing down work stationKnows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.Stocks and maintains sufficient food products at line station to assure a smooth service periodResponsible for keeping kitchen area clean, neat, and orderlyResponsible for following Health Department standards and requirementsAttends staff meetingsFollows daily and weekly dutiesMaintains professionalism when not assisting customers.Other duties as assignedRequirements:REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust be highly motivatedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood organizational skillsAn understanding of food and beverage operationsMust be a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessaryREQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEExperience in a kitchen or food service industry is preferred.Culinary school is preferred, but not required.
