Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThanks for your interest in the cook/stew position with Ammonite Adventure Charters.Vessel Type: 78' NordhavnCaptain: Adam ReeseCrew: Three (3)Location: Abaco, BahamasJoining Harbor: Marsh Harbor Marina, Abaco, BahamasJob Position: Cook/StewResponsibilities include:Prepare charter provisions and develop a menu based on guest’s preferences (and dietary restrictions) information.Communicate and educate menu(s) with crew members to create a great dining experience for charter guests.Prepare and cook meals for crew and charter guestsAssists in cleaning and maintaining the vessel's interiorCarry out captain's ordersProviding excellent guest service, meal service and bartending skills when neededMaintaining laundry, housekeeping, and wardrobe tasks for both guests and yacht crewFloral arrangements and decorations as requiredHelp coordinate onshore activities (when necessary)Interior and cabin appearance and maintenanceWorking very closely with the first mate/stew to create a seamless dining experienceDetailing/cleaning all interior areasInventories and requisitioningProviding detailed and seamless service to guests from arrival until departureCreate an atmosphere that makes a "wow" impression on guestsAssist in cleaning up after mealsRefrigerated drinks restockingAssisting captain with paperwork (i.e., provision receipts) as requestedRequired Certifications & ExperienceSTCSENG1Food Safety Hygiene Level 2PassportB1/B2 (not required to join the company initially, however, B1 visa is required to cross the US waterways with the boat)Experience in yachting or hospitality industry involving cooking and guest servies.Start Date & Location: on or shortly after January 29, 2023 from Marsh Harbor, Abaco, Bahamas.Compensation Amount: $200/day plus tips for the 1st year.
