Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB Posting JOB TITLE: CookDEPARTMENT: KitchenREPORTS TO: General ManagerPOSITION PURPOSE:The Cook is responsible for prepping meals by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients per restaurant recipes. Checking ingredients for freshness, arranging, and garnishing the dishes. You will also oversee ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Weigh, measure, mis and prep ingredients according to recipes Check food ingredients for freshnessEnsure that the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils are cleanEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positionsRestaurant or customer service experience preferredAbility to obtain and maintain a food handler certification cardMust have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy seasonWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) poundsMust be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergencyMust be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionallyMust be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed.STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThis document provides descriptive information about the above Suntex Marinas position.
