Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCook Job Description:Prepares food for clients. Streamlines work from back of house to front of house.Cook Job Duties:Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policyPrepares foods to the specifications of the restaurants recipesPrepares food before the arrival of guestsMakes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concernsManages other employees in the kitchenActs as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperatureSeasons food according to recipes or company needsOperates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixerPortions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preferenceAssists other cooks during the food assembly processEstimates expected food consumption and organizes preparationButchers and cooks animal meat based on the restaurant atmospherePrepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service beginsStays open until the last customer leavesCleans up after business hoursCommunicates with GM about how to improve meal serviceCook Skills and Qualifications:Basic Computational Skills, Organizational Skills, Verbal Communication, Culinary Arts, Kitchen Equipment Knowledge, Butchering, Knowledge of International Cuisines, Creativity, Interpersonal Skills, Culinary Arts Training Preferred.
