Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Prepares and serves foods according to Local, State, and Federal guidelines and maintains dietetic services facilities, equipment, and utensils in a sanitary manner. Provides supervision of dietetic service employees in the absence of the assistant supervisor, supervisor or manager. Responsible for the tray setup for patients in a timely and sanitary manner, which includes work station setup, assembly, and delivery/retrieving of patients’/residents’ trays. Cold food items will be prepared in accordance with diets. Clean the work station, equipment, dishes, and flatware. Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):Prepare and cook meats, soups, gravies, sauces, and vegetablesRoast, steam, bake, and fry items. Assemble ingredients and flavors in accordance with diet and recipesPlace food on plates with portion and quality control in an attractive mannerAssist with inspecting and storing of food and supplies. e. Maintain food service facility and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner Set up work station to facilitate efficient meal serviceAssemble all food trays in accordance to diet orderHighlight critical information on card i.e., allergies, dislikes, etc.Deliver/retrieve trays at designated timesPrepare and deliver between-meal nourishments to hospital units and nursing center according to specificationPrepare salads, desserts, and all beverages for mealsClean trays, dishes, silverware, equipment, and workspace according to sanitation guidelines after each patient meal period.Maintain accurate records Requirements:Education: High school graduate or equivalent One year of experience in food service and general food preparation
