QualificationsProven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cookExcellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresBasic understanding of food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.Must be able to work well as part of a team.Must be able to work well under pressure.Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.Culinary school diploma preferred.Working ConditionsThis position works in a fast-paced kitchen with exposure to heat, flames, cold temperatures, slippery floors and sharp cooking tools. The Cook may work in close contact with others. The Cook must comply with food safety regulations, which include appropriate clothing and protective gear such as hairnets, masks, disposable gloves and slip-resistant shoes.
