Must be able to prepare meals and snacks according to the USDA, CACFP nutrition guidelines. This position includes purchasing all necessary food and non food items for preparing and serving meals and snacks to children ages 1 - 12. DutiesPrepare lunch and morning and afternoon snacks for a child care center that participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Shopping for groceries and ordering food items from a vendor. Maintaining a health department approved kitchen. RequirementsMinimum Education is a high school diploma. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Background checks required as these are required for a licensed child care center. General knowledge of working in a health department approved kitchen. USDA/ CACFP Background, or we will train you in these requirements.
