Coordinator, Multilingual Education And Global Achievement (Mega)
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to fill the position of Coordinator, Multilingual Education and Global Achievement (MEGA) for the Multilingual Education and Global Achievement (MEGA) department/unit of the Learning and Leadership Services division. The job of Coordinator, MEGA, is responsible for coordinating the research, development, implementation and assessment of professional learning, language and biliteracy development, instructional guidance, tools, and resources related to specific content areas, to support schools, districts, and regional multilingual support groups to implement high quality, standards-based teaching and learning for multilingual learners. This position requires a BCLAD in Spanish or equivalent document. This recruitment may be used to fill current and anticipated upcoming vacancies.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires the following Education and Experience and Certificates, Licenses, and Credentials: Education and Experience: Education: A Bachelor's degree in education, education administration, or related field; and, Experience: Four (4) years of experience conducting professional development and/or coaching for educators serving culturally-linguistically diverse students in a variety of instructional settings, including multilingual programs -- OR -- Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in education, education administration, or related field; and four (4) years of experience conducting professional development and/or coaching for educators serving culturally-linguistically diverse students in a variety of instructional settings, including multilingual programs. Certificates, Licenses, and Credentials:
- Valid CA Administrative Services Credential
- Valid CA Teaching Credential and
- BCLAD in Spanish or equivalent document
