The Package Development team is responsible for all new development with a focus on innovation and sustainability. This role provides general support to the Packaging team while gaining an in-depth understanding of the development process for color and skincare packaging from concept through execution.WHAT YOU DOSupport the Packaging team in all stages of developmentDevelop in-depth knowledge and understanding of timelines materials deco processes testing etc.Create bill of materials and fill and assembly instructionsCreate and submit artwork requests for all primary and secondary packaging by collecting dielines and all required pack information for the Production Artist or Creative departmentReview and approve artwork for accuracy and completeness checking every aspect of packaging materials labels and product details to minimize errors and maintain consistency across packagingAssist in developing secondary packaging with vendorsReview and distribute primary packaging range boardsCreate and issue primary packaging and finished good standardsMaintain and organize packaging retains and archiveHelp maintain packaging and product specification databasesCreate packaging POs for tooling dies samples etc.Support team in coordinating product samples for photoshoots retailers and marketing needsSend and receive packagesGain an understanding of project quotations and cost of goodsEstablish and build relationships with internal and external partnersResponsible for coordinating meetings and attend as neededAdditional projects as assignedWHAT YOULL GAINA deep knowledge of packaging from a technical aesthetic and quality perspectiveIn-depth and holistic understanding of the specific details of the Package Development processIn-depth understanding of the brands calendar strategy and innovation opportunitiesAn understanding of Hourglass voice and point of view in the luxury beauty spaceAn opportunity to take part in creating new and innovative color and skincare productsDevelop collaboration skills with cross-functional teamsYOULL LOVE THIS JOB IFYou are PASSIONATE about beauty packaging: You are eager to learn about Hourglass as a brand and the luxury beauty space.You are a SELF-STARTER and highly RESOURCEFUL: You can work independently by following and executing directions given and come to the table with solutions.You are extremely ORGANIZED and AGILE: You are not overwhelmed by the thought of tackling multiple tasks at a time and are able to prioritize tasks by urgency.You are meticulously DETAIL ORIENTED: You appreciate the importance of having detailed and precise information and have an impeccable eye for aesthetics.You are a strong COMMUNICATOR: You are a people person and collaborate well with others.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 2 years of experience working at a cosmetics brandLuxury experience is preferred but not requiredMeticulous attention to detail consistency and accuracyStrong skills in anticipating needs and demonstrating a proactive approach to job responsibilitiesExceptional time management and organization skills and able to tackle multiple tasks based on priorityAgile and able to switch gears immediately when necessaryCreative thinker and able to think outside the boxComfortable asking questionsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsPositive personality: able to take on new challenges as they comeProficient in Word Excel Power Point OutlookMust be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the timeThe expected hourly range for this position is $30 - $33/hr.
