Full-timeDescriptionCorporate CAD Manager oversees CAD standards workflows and technologies to support municipal infrastructure mobility and site development projects. This role ensures high-quality drafting deliverables optimizes CAD software usage and collaborates with designers engineers and project managers to meet technical requirements.CAD Standards & ComplianceDevelop and enforce CAD standards specific to civil engineering (e.g. roadway drainage grading utilities) using Autodesk Civil3DEnsure drawings meet client specifications or adhere to LAN standardsTeam Leadership & TrainingProvide help resources and mentor CAD designers and project engineers in Autodesk Civil3DEvaluate and implement new tools to improve design or production efficiency and accuracyConduct training sessions on software updates standards and best practicesStructure training assessments for new and current staff; develop training courses using third part resourcesQuality ControlReview and audit drawings for completeness accuracy and adherence to standardsImplement QA/QC procedures for CAD deliverablesRequirementsBachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Computer-Aided Drafting Technology Certification or Degree (preferred) or related field5 years of CAD experience in civil engineering projects with 2 years in a leadership role preferredProficiency in Autodesk Civil3D and related civil design softwareStrong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction documentationExcellent organizational communication and problem-solving skillsThis position can sit in our Houston Dallas Fort Worth or Frisco location.Lockwood Andrews & Newnam Inc.
