Corporate Counsel, International Trade – Export Controls at Amazon

Amazons Legal Department is looking for a talented export controls lawyer to support Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity storage content delivery database services artificial intelligence and machine learning and more.We are seeking an export controls attorney to join our international trade legal team.Key job responsibilities- Provide counsel on export laws and new technology such as AI quantum and semiconductors; - Support regulatory engagements; - Collaborate globally to develop innovative international trade compliance solutions; and - Research and stay up to date on forthcoming export control laws and enforcement trends. A day in the lifeThe role involves working directly with business units and cross-functional teams across AWS and other parts of Amazon. The successful candidate will provide strategic input on legal and business decisions navigate complex regulatory environments and develop problem solving solutions. The base pay for this position ranges from $138500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
