Job Classification:Finance & Accounting - Finance & AccountingThe Corporate Development Group at Prudential Financial Inc. is responsible for acquisition and divestiture activities across Prudentials various businesses both in the United States and internationally. Since the groups inception in the late 1990s the group has closed more than 120 transactions with aggregate value in excess of $35 billion. The group is also responsible for sourcing acquisitions as well as developing select strategic analyses to support Prudentials executive team.The Corporate Development Associate role is an M&A transaction execution-focused position that provides significant exposure to the full spectrum of Prudentials global businesses as well as frequent interaction with Prudentials senior leadership team. The environment is fast-paced and exciting and the role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team that leads some of the highest priority and most impactful transactions that help shape the future of Prudential.The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence 3 days per week. You manager will provide additional details relative to days you are expected to be on-site.What youll do:Management and execution of all aspects of the M&A processEvaluation of potential acquisition and divestiture targets including detailed financial analysis and an assessment of strategic fitComplex modeling of pro forma scenarios to assess the financial impact of potential acquisitions and divestitures on PrudentialProduction of executive-friendly communications and materials (including presentations memos and financial analysis) to inform senior management and facilitate decision-makingSignificant engagement with functional business partners across Prudential including Finance Tax and Accounting among many othersFrequent communication with senior leadership at PrudentialCoordination of cross functional due diligence to evaluate the risks and opportunities of M&A transactionsOther select and high-priority strategic analyses for Prudentials executive leadership teamWhat youll need: 25 years of prior work experienceInvestment banking or M&A transaction-related experience is preferred but not requiredLife insurance reinsurance or broader financial services industry experience is a plus but not requiredStrong financial modeling skillsTeam player with strong project management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWhat we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $128100.00 to $190700.00.
