The successful candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of cost accounting principles as well as be detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills. ResponsibilitiesHelp to track and monitor raw materials and consumables inventorySupport with the identification of potential excess and obsolete inventory in coordination with Supply Chain and Operations Aid in monitoring job close variances and provide root cause analysisAssist in month end close process for inventory and cost of sales Responsible for preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for areas such as inventory work in process job variances returned material cost of salesMaintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controlsPerform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested Assist in preparing reports required for financial audits and management as neededContribute in the ongoing maintenance of our ERP system to maintain accurate information and proper accountingDevelop process controls and documentationMaintain detailed and organized accounting recordsCoordinate and / or support cross-functional requirements and continuous improvement initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting Related Field or equivalent experience2 years of experience in Cost Accounting workSound understanding of accounting principlesAnalytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelSelf-directed and able to perform assignments independently; demonstrate proactive approach and is flexible with regards to changeKnowledge of Epicor ERP systemsAbility to multitask and prioritize workloadCompensationThe compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $31.25$38.00/hr.For temp temp-to-hire and regular full-time positions our company policy is that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
