Job DescriptionDPR Construction is seeking an experienced Cost Control Specialist to support financial planning and cost management for modular assembly operations at the Houston Prefabrication Assembly Facility (PAF). This role ensures accurate tracking of budgets forecasts and expenditures while identifying cost-saving opportunities and maintaining compliance with DPRs financial standards. The position collaborates with procurement logistics and manufacturing teams to optimize cost efficiency across all phases of assembly. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain project budgets for assembly operations.Monitor actual costs against forecasts and report variances.Analyze material labor and overhead costs for modular assembly lines.Generate Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) for internal stakeholders reviews.Support financial forecasting for multi-phase assembly projects.Collaborate with preconstruction teams to validate cost estimates.Ensure adherence to DPRs cost coding standards and audit requirements.Maintain accurate records in CMiC .Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement and logistics.Recommend process improvements to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.Required Skills and AbilitiesAnalytical mindset attention to detail and effective communication.Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.Ability to manage multiple budgets in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to accuracy and compliance.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.Familiarity with prefabrication workflows and modular assembly.Proficiency in cost management systems (e.g. CMiC) Excel and ERP tools.Education and ExperienceBachelors degree in Finance Accounting Construction Management or related field.35 years in cost control or financial analysis within construction or manufacturing environments.Physical RequirementsWork onsite at the Houston Prefabrication Assembly Facility.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.DPR Construction is a forward-thinking self-performing general contractor specializing in technically complex and sustainable projects for the advanced technology life sciences healthcare higher education and commercial markets.
