⏰ Shift: 6 AM–6 PM (2–2–3 Rotating Schedule)
💵 Starting Pay: $22–$25/hr

Milgard Windows & Doors is hiring a Crate Specialist for our Internal Supply Vinyl building in Fife, WA! In this role, you’ll help construct strong, protective crates and enclosures that ensure our windows and doors travel safely across the country. 📦🚛

🌟 What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in preparing products for shipment, including:

📏 Measuring and marking materials using rulers, tape measures, and pencils

🪚 Cutting materials to size with saws

🔧 Assembling wooden components

📦 Placing and securing products safely inside containers

🔩 Bolting heavy items to skids for secure transport

🪵 Building custom enclosures for large or oddly shaped products

🏷️ Attaching accurate identification labels or stencils (destination, weight, product details)

🔢 Counting items to ensure shipping accuracy

📝 Completing required shipping paperwork

⏱️ Meeting production goals and timelines

♻️ Following MPS (Milgard Production System) standards to minimize waste

🧹 Maintaining clean, safe, hazard‑free work areas and equipment

🦺 Following all safety protocols to maintain a safe environment

🪟 Reading product tags to ensure all required window/door specs are included

💡 What You Bring

📦 Experience handling various sizes of finished goods

💪 Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted

🎓 High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)

📘 Ability to read basic instructions, memos, and paperwork

✍️ Basic writing and communication skills

➗ Ability to perform simple math (fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios) and interpret bar graphs
