Note: This position is located in Rochester, NY requires reporting to an office for part of the week, with some flexibility to work from home.

This role leads a Creative team within the creative and branding team and is responsible for developing and maintaining the Wegmans brand across all creative executions. They will provide creative vision and organize a team of designers, copywriters and digital team members to concept and execute impactful solutions that exceed our high standards and connect with our customers. This role is hands-on, excels at concepting and execution of art direction for photography and video shoots. By partnering with leadership within the marketing department and across the company, they will develop strategy and creative solutions that align with our brand guidelines and support our business objectives.

What will I do?

  • Manage and develop team of employees, engage in meaningful conversations, build trusted relationships and provide the resources, feedback, and development opportunities they need to be successful

  • Provide leadership to create consistent, overall brand voice and campaign strategies by introducing non-traditional ideas and solutions to communicate our message in new and unique ways that are impactful and on brand

  • Work closely with various Marketing teams to produce materials that will effectively communicate key messages to our customers

  • Provide strategic focus and guidelines for design, photography, and video assets

  • Drive and improve creative processes and resourcing to drive efficiency and quality for all creative projects

  • Create, manage and implement strategies that are integrated with our company goals and priorities; ensure all creative projects align with strategies, are within budget, and on time; work with Marketing teams to influence budgets for idea needs

  • Partner closely with Executives , Merchandising, and Marketing leadership to identify unique business challenges, define and influence strategies, and create and communicate innovative solutions to complex and high priority projects; effectively navigate and balance competing interests to arrive at a solution

  • Define measurements of success for new projects; ensure adherence to Wegmans copy standards and that projects align with creative strategy

  • Approve and establish partnerships with outside agencies; manage expectations, negotiate costs and resources, communicate Wegmans Brand standards, and ensure quality work that sup ports our brand

Required Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of industry experience, including 3 or more years of experience managing a creative team
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic design or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in video production
  • Experience working on social and digital platforms
