Position Summary:Adams State University seeks a video-focused Creative Services Manager to lead our digital content production efforts. This position primarily supports video production and content creation while providing assistance to our PR & Marketing team by providing crucial oversight for the print shop which is managed by student staff. The ideal candidate will have strong video production skills and experience creating engaging digital content for higher education or similar environments.Primary ResponsibilitiesVideo Production & Content CreationLead video production initiatives in collaboration with the PR & Marketing TeamPartner with the PR & Marketing Team to plan shoot and edit video content for university communications social media and promotional campaignsOperate professional video equipment including cameras lighting audio recording and stabilization equipmentEdit video content using industry-standard software for multiple platforms and formatsCoordinate video shoots across campus manage production schedules and direct on-camera talentCreate motion graphics animations and visual effects to enhance video contentMaintain and organize video equipment inventory and digital asset librariesStay current with video trends and emerging platforms to keep university content fresh and engagingCollaborate with Graphic Designer on projects that require both video and design elementsProvide assistance to the Graphic Designer during high-volume periods and to meet rush deadlinesPrint Shop Operations ManagementSupervise and train student staff in print shop operations and safety proceduresSchedule student staff and ensure adequate coverage for daily operationsManage print job workflows quality control and customer service for campus departmentsMaintain printing equipment and coordinate with vendors for repairs and suppliesOversee inventory management and budget tracking for print materialsEnsure compliance with university policies and safety standardsOther duties as assigned to support the success of the department.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Film Production Digital Media Communications Graphic Design or related field3 years of experience in video production and editingProficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or similar)Experience with motion graphics software (After Effects preferred)Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite particularly Photoshop for image editingDemonstrated experience operating professional video equipment (cameras lighting audio)Strong project management and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesPreferred Qualifications5 or more years of experience in video production and editingAdvanced video production and post-production experienceExperience in higher education marketing or communicationsKnowledge of live streaming and broadcast productionBasic graphic design skills (Illustrator InDesign knowledge a plus)Experience with color grading and audio post-productionFamiliarity with social media video optimization and platform-specific content creationKnowledge of print production processes and equipmentExperience supervising staff or student workers preferredWorking knowledge of the Spanish languageSkills and CompetenciesCreative problem-solving and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlinesTechnical troubleshooting skills for equipment and softwareUnderstanding of brand management and visual identity standardsFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and emerging technologiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds (print materials and equipment)Standing for extended periods during video shoots and print operationsManual dexterity for operating printing and video equipmentWork EnvironmentThis position operates in both office and production environments including the campus print shop and various locations for video production. This position will be expected to work hours to capture appropriate content. This includes time outside a typical work-day of 8-5.
