Credentialing Specialist - THPGBring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better TogetherPosition HighlightsWork location: REMOTE/ Work from Home Dallas Work Location Must live within DFWWork environment: OfficeWork hours: Full-time 40 hours weeklyMonday thru Friday 8:00am 5:00 pmFacility: Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG)Address: Texas Health Physicians Group 9250 Amberton Parkway TX 75243Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.What You Will Do:Act as a liaison for the credentialing process for both internal departments and external customers and providersCoordinate monitor and prepare documentation for all practitioners both inpatient and/or outpatient services in all applicable health care settingsActively demonstrates the organizations mission and core values and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these valuesEstablishes maintains and updates files databases records and/or other documentsSupport THPG providers with managed care credentialing requirements and requestsSpecial projects/other duties as assignedWhat You Need:EducationBachelors Degree - PreferredH.S. Diploma or Equivalent - RequiredExperience2 years of credentialing coordination experience in Healthcare (specifically Physician Practice or managed care) - RequiredLicenses and CertificationsCPCS - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist Upon Hire - PreferredEducationBachelors Degree Pref AndH.S. Diploma or Equivalent ReqExperience2 Years 2 years of credentialing coordination experience in Healthcare (specifically Physician Practice or managed care) ReqLicenses and CertificationsCPCS - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist Upon Hire PrefSkills Experience with new installations and integrations of physician practices Effective business acumen to develop positive relationships and strategies to perform effectively within the dynamics of a corporate organization Familiar with NCQA and TJC standards and how to apply them Incumbent must have extremely effective and polished communications skills - both written and oral.
