Credit Analyst - Commercial Banking Location Fort Worth, TX Onsite Compensation & Schedule $31/hr + BOE Full-Time, standard business hours W2 Start date: TBD ROLE IMPACT The Credit Analyst supports commercial lending teams by delivering accurate financial analysis and sound credit risk assessments. This role ensures high-quality underwriting, appropriate loan structuring, and proactive portfolio monitoring. Success is measured by timely credit decisions, well-structured facilities, and minimized portfolio risk exposure. Key Responsibilities Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow statements, and credit reports to assess borrower risk and repayment capacity Perform financial statement spreading and detailed commercial credit analysis Conduct annual reviews of commercial loan portfolios and identify potential risk exposure or developing problem loans Assign internal risk ratings and recommend loan structures, pricing, covenants, and terms in partnership with Relationship Managers Support new and existing credit facilities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting client financial data while ensuring compliance with bank loan policy and prudent underwriting standards Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 2+ years of credit analysis experience within a commercial banking environment Strong understanding of commercial lending, underwriting standards, and credit risk assessment Core Tools & Systems Microsoft Excel (advanced spreadsheet analysis and financial modeling) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Financial spreading software and internal loan origination systems (LOS) Credit reporting platforms and portfolio management systems Preferred Skills Experience supporting commercial lenders or Relationship Managers Exposure to portfolio management, loan review, and risk grading processes Knowledge of diverse commercial loan products, structures, and covenant analysis
