The ideal candidate will thrive in environments where no two days are the same and have a passion for helping our community members through times of distress.Crisis Intervention Specialists are available 24/7 on a rotation basis to assist our consumers in times of need. You’ll work to determine the immediate safety steps to be taken and provide appropriate interventions and resources that address the current mental health needs. These services are provided over the phone to callers through our hotline and mobile when needed often to further assess needs in a clinical environment like a hospital setting.The hours for this position are variable and dependent upon needs for coverage. Don’t hesitate to apply if interested, we can often work around your availability!What Do I Need?Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Anthropology, Political Science, History, Criminal Justice, Theology, Nursing, Counseling, Education or a related field.ORRegistered NurseORHigh School diploma or equivalency and 12 semester credit hours in Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Gerontology or other social science and 2 years of experience in public or private Human Services with 1 year of mental health direct care experienceORConsumer or family member who has 1 year of experience as an advocate or leader in a consumer or family group with a High School diploma or equivalency.Other RequirementsYou will maintain required state and federal clearances.You will maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel to consumer locations as assigned.You will have strong organizational skills.You will be comfortable using technology for documentation.You will have strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.You will have the ability to be both a team player and work well independently.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuring non-operating hours of the clinic, participates in on-call rotation to include evenings, holidays, and weekends in accordance with program expectations.Telephonic and/or Mobile Crisis Intervention responses are required during these time periods.Obtains and/or reviews initial intake/referral/payer information and documents in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.Conducts follow-up calls to consumers of Crisis Intervention services as requested by Clinical Supervisor and in accordance with practice standards.Supports, educates, and assists with training/mentoring other on-call staff responsible for working in the crisis program.Maintains proper documentation of all consumer related contacts and ensures documentation is concise, timely, and congruent with practice standards for crisis service delivery.Hours of WorkSchedule and hours are varied as part of an on-call rotation.What Do I Get? $15-$25/hourThis position has variable pay rates based on weekday/weekend per diem and services provided:Weekday on-call per diem: $60 First on Call /$50 Secondary/$40 Tertiary/$20 QuaternaryWeekend on-call day per diem: $120 First on Call/$100 Secondary/$80 Tertiary/$20 QuaternaryHoliday on-call day per diem: $150 First on Call/$120 Secondary/$100 Tertiary/$50 QuaternaryTelephone service delivery-$15/hourMobile service delivery-$25/hour plus round-trip mileage per mile.Benefits401k + 2% match (additional annual discretionary match if you work 1,000 hours or more!)Virtual Care Clinic & Prescription Services for ALL employees and dependents (up to 7 people)!
