Job Title: Critical Care RN Location: Pikeville KY - OnsiteEmployment Type: Contract / Full-TimePay Rate: $50-$60/hrHours per Week: 48Shift Timing: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Critical Care RN to provide professional nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple specialties including cardiovascular neurological orthopedic pulmonary renal and post-operative care. The ideal candidate will be skilled in specialized procedures equipment and invasive monitoring delivering high-quality care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams during night shift hours. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients and evaluate outcomes adjusting nursing care as required. Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and follow-up re-assessments. Deliver age-specific care to young adult adult and elderly patients ensuring hemodynamic stability and physiologic function. Maintain accurate and detailed nursing documentation including patient histories treatments responses and assessment of changes. Administer medications specialized IV drips titration transfusions and manage central lines. Provide care for patients with complex conditions including airway management cardiac monitoring pulmonary/respiratory care gastrointestinal care neurological care and renal/continuous renal replacement therapy. Assist physicians with procedures and use specialized equipment for critically ill patient care. Manage Code Blue events and respond to emergent situations as needed. Formulate teaching plans for patients and families and evaluate effectiveness; include family in patient education. Supervise allocate tasks and mentor other healthcare staff; serve as preceptor for new employees. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes processes and workplace efficiency. Maintain and operate patient care equipment ensuring proper functioning and adequate stock of supplies. Adhere to medical center policies regarding infection control safety and personnel guidelines. Demonstrate flexibility organization and professionalism under high-stress situations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Active RN license required. ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire. NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 90 days of hire. EKG and FIT Test certifications required. Minimum of 5 years of critical care nursing experience. Experience with specialized procedures invasive monitoring and care of critically ill patients. Willingness and ability to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification preferred. Experience across multiple critical care specialties: cardiovascular neurological orthopedic renal pulmonary and post-operative care.
