We are responsible for the accurate and timely recording of all business-generated transactions on our balance sheet and income statement. We operate in a fast-paced environment and collaborate significantly with cross-functional and international teams.What youll doStripe is seeking an experienced leader to join its world class accounting team to oversee all cryptocurrency product offerings at Stripe including Bridge and Privy products. You would lead our efforts to help us scale these products for the future as we support rapid growth in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting team is responsible for all aspects of the financial statutory and internal reporting processes; financial systems; internal controls; and business support. You would leverage your technical expertise to quickly identify accounting implications and impacts while advising and collaborating with team members cross-functionally to develop operational processes that help us scale.ResponsibilitiesAccounting operations for all stablecoin products at Stripe including all Bridge and Privy accounting. Drive monthly and quarterly close activities analytical reviews and financial reporting deliverablesLead cross-functional initiatives and communicate progress effectively with senior managementIdentify recommend and implement scalable accounting processes and automation improvements to support global growth in stablecoin productsPartner closely with our business and finance partners to thoroughly understand new products features and contracts and advise on accounting implicationsResearch prepare and review technical accounting analysesPartner with Internal Systems and Engineering teams to support internal financial systems and automation of accounting processesAssess the effectiveness of internal controls and design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activitiesDevelop and maintain up-to-date accounting policies and proceduresUnderstand data and system flows and related implications to accounting with an aptitude to analyze financial results and identify and problem solve financial anomaliesWho you areWere looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus not a requirement.Minimum requirements10 years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experienceSignificant experience accounting for cryptocurrencies including stablecoinsB.A. or B.S degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)Fluency in U.S. GAAP and ability to research complex accounting issuesExcellent communication and organizational skills both written and verbal with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiencesStrong analytical skills and experience working with large data setsDemonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholdersExperience with internal controls (design implementation and execution)Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practicesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyPreferred qualificationsCPA or similar qualificationExperience at a public companyPayments or Tech industry experienceCryptocurrency experienceBanking experienceSQL experience Key Skills Law Enforcement,ABB,Marine Biology,Filing,Automobile,AV Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
