This position will assist in the planning and initiate preparation/cooking of products for the Day Program. This position will work with and train residents in the Culinary Arts Day Program. The qualified candidate will have a passion for helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities reach their full potential and experience in cooking, design and implementation of a culinary program. The Culinary Arts Assistants role includes the following:Specific Skills and Responsibilities Assist in the day-to-day cooking and cleaning of the Culinary Arts Program Train, Supervise and oversee residents in the Culinary Arts Program Preparing products for retail sale All other kitchen duties as assigned by the Manager or CoordinatorQualifications: Must maintain a current and valid drivers license.Education: Culinary Arts Degree preferred ServSafe Required Requirements: Drug Screen Criminal Background Check Drivers License CheckWork Environment: Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.Physical Demands: Walk, stand, sit, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, use hands and lift up to 50lbs, 2/3s of the time
