Job DescriptionJob DescriptionGarden Court Chateau is seeking Dietary Cooks for full-time positions.Cook Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Plan, prepare, cook and serve meals and snacks to residents, and when appropriate their family members or visitors.Strictly adhere to sanitary guidelines, includes monitoring of food temperatures and cleaning of the kitchen and all cookware, dishes, etc.Ensure the nutritional needs of the residents are met, including special diet restrictionsDemonstrate a sincere interest in the quality of meals being served to residents and guests.Help organize and host community events such as family picnics, cookouts, holiday dinners, community coffee, etc.Maintain good relationships with residents, family members, community guests, co-workers, etc.Cook Job Qualifications:Ability to read and follow recipes, labels, policies and procedures.Ability to write and make simple calculations.ServSafe certification, or agreement to complete certification at the next possible opportunity.Must have a desire to work with seniors.Requires level of knowledge normally required in the course of obtaining a high school diploma.Work effectively with general supervision, ability to organize and manage own work load in a busy environment.
