Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Backed by Callaway Golf and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments, Five Iron blends world-class technology with hospitality-driven service across its sports bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues. With 35 locations open and more than 50 in the pipeline worldwide, the brand is expanding its reach while remaining rooted in innovation, inclusivity, and community connection. The Culinary Lead will coach kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service and genuine hospitality. They are also responsible for preparing, cooking, and delivering flavorful dishes to our guests, ensuring that every bite is a satisfying and memorable experience.Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:Open/close kitchen when neededPrepare a variety of appetizers and entrees for guestsEnsure proper food preparation to keep the kitchen and line fully stockedMaintain a clean kitchen by properly washing dishes and utensilsFollow all sanitary and health code requirementsCollaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent serviceControl and direct the food preparation processAssist in hiring and training of all kitchen staffActively evaluate kitchen staff performance to ensure day-to-day business needs are metManage and oversee all kitchen operations at the location, including facilities maintenance and cleanliness; ensure compliance with the department of health and all other applicable lawsEnsure above-and-beyond service standards are met at all times, including food quality, consistency, and timeliness of serviceMaintain extensive and up-to-date knowledge of our menu and recipesDevelop and implement efficient kitchen processesAnticipate, identify, and correct issues with inventory, systems, and staffing; understand, monitor, manage and control inventoryEnsure staff members have applicable, up-to-date food handling licensesSupport scheduling and managing labor costs.Required Qualifications:At least 3 years of experience as a line cookAt least 1 year management experienceAbility to work independently and with a kitchen teamAbility to delegate responsibilities and monitor staffCredentials in health and safety trainingMust be flexible with hoursCertification that meets local requirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs during normal operationsDeliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guestBenefits (*applies only to full-time employees):Health, Dental, and Vision insurance*Short-Term Disability*Accident and Critical Illness Insurance*401(k) *Meals while working are included for freePay: $24-26/hrJob Type: Full TimeSchedule: Nights and weekends requiredFive Iron Golf is committed to celebrating diversity and creating an inclusive environment for employees of all backgrounds.
