Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob DescriptionDutton + Associates, a Timmons Group company (D+A) is currently seeking a Cultural Resources Team Leader to join our Cultural Resources group in Richmond, VA. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in archaeology, architectural history, or cultural resource management who thrives in both field and office settings. You’ll oversee project execution, mentor staff, and collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and excellence in every phase of our work. This role is expected to be working on-site 5 days a week.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Lead a multidisciplinary team of cultural resources professionals in the successful completion of projectsOversee field data collection and technical reportingOversee QA/QC of technical reports and ensure compliance with applicable federal standards and guidelines and State Historic Preservation Office survey guidelines as requiredSupport business development and contribute to strategic planning for the groupAttend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholdersSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Master’s degree in archaeology, architectural history or related discipline requiredMinimum of 10 years’ experience in cultural resource managementMust have thorough knowledge of federal and state historic preservation laws and regulationsSection 106 experience and knowledge of Mid-Atlantic SHPO’s guidelines is requiredMust have previous experience working with the full range of cultural resource types commonly encountered I the Mid-Atlantic regionExperience working on a broad range of project typesAdditional InformationThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
