This includes maintaining cleanliness of floors bathrooms break rooms surfaces classrooms common areas and other areas in the buildings.Essential Job FunctionsProvide cleaning duties including:Cleaning bathroomsCleaning break roomsReplenish bathroom suppliesVacuuming mopping dusting and cleaning surfacesWindows.Work with a team of housekeepers and facilities technicians.Clean disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shiftMonitor and report on the inventory of cleaning suppliesRespond to requests for housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glassCollect and remove trash and debrisAssist with laundry management including washing drying ironing and sorting linenClean upholstered and non-upholstered furniturePerform detailed deep cleaning when requiredClean all areas including the anatomy lab when requiredReport safety issues and property damage to supervisorReport and return lost propertyMaintain a positive relationship with employees students tenants and guestsMarginal Job FunctionsAssist administration faculty and staff in special projects as needed under the direction of the Facilities Manager.Required Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesGood organizational skills ability to assess processes and follow up.Good communication skills.Demonstrate polite demeanor.A high level of attention to detail.Ability to multi-task and problem solve.Must be able to work effectively in a team-based diverse environment.Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to perform repetitive motion and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.Ability to ascend and descend ladders of various heights.Ability to operate power machinery such as industrial floor cleaners.Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their applications.Ability to work independently when necessary.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Six (6) months - one (1) year of experience in housekeeping.Preferred QualificationsOne (1) - three (3) years of experience in housekeeping or cleaning.Final applicant will be required to pass background check and drug screening.Qualified applicants will be contacted.
