Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBehavior Technician Full Time - Children’s Center for Autism (CCA)The Children’s Center for Autism (CCA) is looking for energetic Behavior Technicians (BT) to provide life-changing treatment to individuals with autism You will receive daily support and training from your supervisorsYou will also participate in regular professional development events (while on the clock) to further your knowledge and understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)You can earn prizes for perfect attendance, high evaluation scores, and more! Our Employee Advisory Committee plans social and fun events for all team members!We provide you with a paid 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training! We also pay for your RBT application fee and exam fee, as well as renewal/recertification fees! Pay increases to $17.25 per hour within the first year that you receive your RBT certification! And additional increases up to $20.00 based on years as an RBT.You are guaranteed to work your scheduled work hours regardless of client cancellations! You earn 21 days of paid time off and paid holidays during the first year of employment!Role ResponsibilitiesImplement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans Work as a part of a collaborative team under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA)Work directly with clients to increase appropriate skills such as communication and social skills Work directly with clients to decrease challenging behaviors such as aggression Provide support and prompting to clients as needed to facilitate learning and skill developmentCollect data on client progress using an electronic deviceComplete accurate and timely session note documentationDemonstrate flexibility and teamwork throughout the treatment dayParticipate in a comprehensive 2–3-week training on ABA techniques, CPR, SAMA, and other Texana Center procedures Participate in regular continuing education opportunities Provide behavior analysis therapy services as outlined in the client’s treatment plan. Therapy sessions are frequently observed by supervisors and parents through a video monitoring system Comply with the Registered Behavior Technician Ethics CodeReceive ongoing supervision for ABA service delivery and maintain documentation of supervision Salary$15.00 - $17.00/hourRequired Education and/or Certifications, Experience, SkillsHigh school diploma or GEDMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsFingerprinting required through the Department of Public Safety Preferred Education and/or Certifications, Experience, SkillsBachelor’s Degree in ABA, psychology, education, or a related fieldExperience as a Behavior Technician in an ABA programExperience with individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities including AutismJob Related Physical RequirementsMust be able to perform SAMA and CPR. Training is provided to employees once hired.Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting (15#- 45#), pushing, stooping, light carrying (15#), repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking, running, sitting and twisting.Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and have depth perception.
