Job Summary This position is responsible for the custodial maintenance of campus buildings and facilities. An incumbent in this position may be designated "Lead Custodian".Responsibilities Custodial Duties (100%) - Assists in coordinating day-to-day work assignment and assist in ensuring compliance with custodial policies, procedures, and safe work practicesCleans, sanitizes, and details restrooms; refills dispensers; stocks suppliesDusts and wipes furniture and fixturesSweeps, mops, and vacuums floorsEmpties and cleans trash receptaclesCleans classrooms and laboratoriesLoads and unloads supplies; stocks and organizes storage areasCleans spills and broken glassMoves furnitureAssist with setting up for special eventsPerforms custodial-related projects such as summer turns, stripping and rewaxing floors, cleaning carpet, etc.Reports maintenance needs to supervisorAbility to drive college-owned vehicles and golf/utility carts on campus to transport equipment, materials, and supplies.
