Security Sensitive Position?:YesHours of Work:TBAPosting Number:TSU203434Official TSU Title:CUSTODIAN IIIGrant Title:N/AJob Description Summary / TWC Summary:Under moderate supervision performs advanced cleaning procedures to maintain interior of campus buildings and supervises day-to-day activities of custodians in assigned areas.Essential Duties Summary:Assists with planning, organizing, and developing specific goals and objectives relative to maintaining cleanliness of the campus buildings.Oversees and coordinates custodial activities including general cleaning and maintenance of assigned buildings.Collects recyclable materials from containers and empties materials into designated recycle containers.Inspects cleaning and general maintenance of assigned buildings and recycle bins and equipment.Prepares weekly maintenance reports of assigned buildings.Reports defective equipment, fixtures, plumbing and hazards to safety to the appropriate department.Performs detailed cleaning of assigned building, such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming floors.Serves as lead custodian on project work assigned by managementPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.% FTE:1.0Hiring Range:$16.74 - $21.34Education:High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent and specialized or technical training.Required Licensing/Certification:None required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:Specialized practices, equipment and procedures.Requires some seasoning and experience beyond the entry level to conduct moderately complex work.
