Whether youre advancing your career or just starting out ULM is a place where your work truly matters.Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in custodial housekeeping groundskeeping or food service work.Job Specification The official job specifications for this role as defined by the State Civil Service can be found here.Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:Supervise 815 Custodians and oversee cleaning operations for sq. ft. of assigned facilities.Provide in-service training on custodial methods equipment safety and department policies.Maintain performance documentation and complete Performance Planning and Review (PPR) evaluations in accordance with Civil Service guidelines.Assist custodial staff with daily cleaning tasks and provide coverage when staff are absent.Inspect buildings and recommend improvements in cleaning products floor care methods and overall maintenance practices.Ensure effective communication with custodial staff peers and university leadership.Oversee cleaning and upkeep of classrooms offices laboratories restrooms entrances hallways and stairwells.Ensure waste removal dusting surface cleaning glass cleaning and floor care (dust mopping spot mopping and scheduled full mopping) are performed to standard.Maintain restrooms through daily cleaning disinfecting fixtures restocking supplies and removing graffiti promptly.Perform related duties necessary to maintain a clean safe and orderly facility environment.Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type:ProbationalWork Location:This vacancy resides at the University of Louisiana Monroe Physical PlantLouisiana is a State As a Model Employer (SAME) that supports the recruitment hiring and retention of individuals with disabilities.How To Apply:No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.To apply for this vacancy click on the Apply link above and complete an electronic application which can be used for this vacancy as well as future job opportunities.
