Customer Service Representative

PGT Innovations (Part of MITER Brands)

📍 Orlando, FL | Onsite
🗓️ Monday–Friday, 8:00 – 5:00
💰 Hourly Pay: $ – $ (based on experience)

Role Purpose

The Customer Service Representative plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by resolving warranty and service inquiries, coordinating solutions, and ensuring clear, timely communication from first contact through resolution.

In this role, you will work directly with builders, contractors, and homeowners while partnering internally with service, sales, and operations teams to drive efficient outcomes and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing information and resolving warranty and non-warranty issues
  • Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries accurately and professionally
  • Process warranty claims and service requests in a timely manner
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders (field service, sales, plant management, engineering) to resolve order or service issues
  • Coordinate and schedule service activities, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Process payment transactions with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Expedite special requests to meet customer timelines and expectations
  • Maintain a positive, flexible approach when handling challenging situations or customer demands
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
  • Core Skills (Required)

  • Customer Communication: Strong phone presence with excellent listening and communication skills
  • Problem Solving: Ability to assess issues and determine appropriate next steps
  • Organization & Accuracy: Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Experience managing appointments and service timelines
  • Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively across teams
  • Professional Judgment: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–3 years of previous customer service, scheduling, or dispatch experience preferred
  • Ability to manage a multi-line phone system
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or service-related industries is a plus
  • Experience with windows, building materials, or warranty processes is helpful but not required
