Customer Service Representative at Schwartz Brothers Restaurants

POSITION SUMMARYProvide exceptional customer service to Schwartz Brothers Bakery customers while supporting order desk operations, logistics tracking, and accounts receivable functions. This role is responsible for accurate order entry, customer communication, invoicing, and financial transaction support to ensure smooth daily operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following position responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Successful job applicants will be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested accommodation.• Answer all customer service phone calls within three rings, providing professional and friendly service.• Accurately enter customer orders and verify all details to ensure correctness prior to processing.• Maintain working knowledge of bakery products, policies, and order procedures to effectively assist customers.• Provide invoices, standing orders, statements, and order support to customers as requested.• Print and distribute daily order desk reports (Final Reports) according to established schedules or management direction.• Maintain logistics tracking for remote warehouses, including lot codes and quantities shipped.• Generate weekly and bi-weekly customer statements and respond to invoice requests.• Post accounts receivable transactions for all payment types, including ACH, credit cards, and checks.• Reconcile accounts receivable transactions for retail customers and assist with resolving discrepancies.• Provide coverage and support for Customer Service team members during breaks, vacations, and absences.• Cross-train on all bakery order desk procedures and special programs.• Participate in a rotating schedule that includes covering the order desk one weekend day.• Uphold company mission, values, and policies.• Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS• Customer service experience required; experience in food manufacturing or bakery operations preferred.• Basic accounting or accounts receivable experience preferred.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and order management/accounting systems.• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills preferred but not required.• Reliable transportation.

Rate of Pay: $23.00-$28.00/hour, DOE
