We are on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Customer Service Representative with a background in shipping to join our thriving manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of domestic shipping, imports and exports, documentation, pricing requests, quotes, and order processing. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the backbone of our company, providing top-notch customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient shipping operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of shipping, including domestic shipping, imports, and exports.
2. Handling all necessary documentation related to shipping and ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws.
3. Responding promptly to customer inquiries, providing pricing requests, quotes, and processing orders in a timely manner.
4. Resolving any customer complaints or issues related to shipping swiftly and professionally.
5. Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of shipping processes.
6. Continually reviewing and optimizing shipping processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
7. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure the company's shipping operations are at the forefront of the industry.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service role within the shipping industry.
2. Solid understanding and experience in domestic shipping, imports and exports, documentation, pricing requests, quotes, and order processing.
3. Exceptional customer service skills with a proven track record of resolving customer issues effectively.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
6. High level of organization and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in using shipping software and other related tools.
9. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
