JOB DESCRIPTION
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
Location: Tulsa, OK
We are seeking a Certified Welding Inspector who demonstrates technical accuracy, strong inspection skills, and a commitment to upholding welding quality and compliance. In this role, you will ensure weld integrity, verify code requirements, and support production excellence throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Interpret and evaluate welding fit-up, filler metal placement, and inspection results
Set up and calibrate testing equipment for accurate evaluations
Perform non-destructive testing (VT, UT, MT) using approved inspection methods
Identify defects, discontinuities, or errors in welded products
Oversee welder qualification tests and evaluate welder performance
Conduct visual and nondestructive weld inspections for acceptance or rejection in accordance with codes, procedures, and instructions
Required Qualifications:
Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
Hands-on welding inspection and NDT experience
Strong visual weld inspection skills
Solid understanding of quality inspection practices and blueprint reading
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Current MT and UT certifications per ASNT-TC-1A (or willingness to train)
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office

Work Environment and Shifts:
Non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility
First Shift: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM4:30 PM
Second Shift: MondayFriday, 4:30 PM2:30 AM (includes $2.50 shift differential)
Both shifts require rotating Saturday overtime
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
