Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:The Cyber Security Technician (7) conducts shipboard cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability scanning, RMF compliance checks, and A&A support for surface ships. Responsibilities include ACAS scanning, ESS analysis, VRAM/POA&M updates, IA compliance validation, cyber bill development support, and training assist visits.Technicians provide hands-on support to shipboard IT personnel, develop training materials, prepare technical reports, conduct cyber spot-checks, and support accreditation and ATO documentation.Requirements:Minimum 10 years of IT/cybersecurity experience, ideally in Navy shipboard environments.Strong knowledge of ACAS, ESS, VRAM, STIGs, IAVM compliance, RMF, and ATO processes.Experience conducting cyber inspections or readiness assessments.Ability to train shipboard personnel and prepare NAVEDTRA-aligned materials.Experience writing detailed technical findings and cyber readiness reports.Ability to travel extensively to CONUS/OCONUS operational locations.
