Experience RequiredKnowledge of medical insurance terminology, computer skills for scheduling and familiarity of general office procedures and equipment, arranging appointments for care, providing exceptional customer serviceVerifying insurance eligibility and ensuring that insurance requirements are met prior to delivery of serviceExplains financial requirements to the patients or responsible parties including the authorization process and deductiblesAccurately processes all requests and documents appropriate information within a time-sensitive environmentAbility to deal with the public with professionalism and compassion in stressful situations and prevent, calm, or defuse irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly directs callsAbility to hear inquiries from patients, physicians, clients or staff, answer phone and speak with patientsEducation RequirementsHigh School graduate or equivalentSpecial RequirementsMinimum 3 years medical office/authorization/insurance experience, preferred Extensive knowledge of medical/radiology terminologyMust be proficient in Word/Excel and EMR, have good organizational skills
