C13 Applications Development Technology Lead AnalystDescriptionApplications Development Technology Lead Analyst (Senior Java developer and team lead) responsible for building out the firm’s strategic reference data platforms used by the Institutional Clients Group in Citi. The successful applicant will take ownership of key projects and components and will be responsible for all phases of the SDLC including analysis and design, development, testing and deployment. As a senior developer, the candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance to junior developers, including overseeing their deliverables, provide architectural guidance, enforce Citi best practices, and conduct code reviews. A potential candidate will need to understand system and enterprise architecture concepts and will be expected to understand how all components fit together and impact one another. They will work with a global and diverse team of peers as well as liaise closely with Business Analyst, Production Support, and Infrastructure teams.Required skillsExperience with the following technologies:Java (Core, JDBC, MT, Collections, I/O), Spring BootStrong understanding of SQL/PL-SQL on Oracle DBCloud native microservicesTomcat or WebLogic application server, container platform based on KubernetesREST web services, Kafka, RedisUnix commands and Korn shell scripting.Familiarity with standard data structures and algorithms.Thorough understanding of usage of the fundamental concepts like Exception Handling, Static block/variables/classes, OOPS concepts, Collections, Multi-Threading, Web services, Design PatternsExperience using the following – JIRA, uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity, Artifactory, Git (Bitbucket)Logical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; innovative and solutions orientedEffective time management skills to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA minimum of 8 years’ application development experienceA minimum of 2 years’ team lead experienceBachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent work experienceResponsibilities:Deliver assigned development projects within agreed schedule, quality and scope expectationsParticipate in all stages of the SDLC within an agile Scrum environmentForm partnership with technology vendors and gain deep understanding of productsInteract with senior management to define and drive architectural directionInteract with PMO and translate reported problems/issues into JIRA items to implementEnhance/Re-architect existing components to satisfy new requirements in terms of performance and scalabilityProvide level 3 (escalation) support for the applicationPreferred Skills and Experience:Experience working with the Scrum methodologyExperience working with a NoSQL database, preferably MongoDB/RedisExperience developing web frontend using Javascript frameworks (prefer AngularJS, React & VUE)Exposure to functional programming language like Scala.Financial services technology experience preferably in reference data domainPhysical and logical data modeling------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Applications Development------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Tampa Florida United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$113,840.00 - $170,760.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
