Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities Design and build AWS-based data platforms including data lakes and analytics environments using services such as S3 Glue Athena Redshift and Lake Formation.Architect secure cost-efficient cloud infrastructure using IAM KMS CloudWatch and related services.Implement data governance security controls and compliance frameworks consistent with appropriate requirements / standards.Collaborate with analysts developers and project managers to support analytic workloads in Python R and SQL and data-driven decision making.Enable secure automated delivery of curated data to BI and decision-making dashboards using modern DevSecOps practices. Close collaboration is expected with other project work teams (investigators analysts project support etc.).Supervision ExercisedDirect reports may include Programmers (levels I II and Senior) with assignments on the Managing Programmers work group.Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field. 5 years of experience designing and implementing data solutions in AWS. Proficiency in AWS services such as S3 Glue Lambda Redshift CloudFormation and IAM. Strong experience with SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred). Experience with data lakehouse design patterns schema management and ETL orchestration tools. Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and cloud security standards. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within multidisciplinary teams. AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred.Desirable QualificationsNon-profit experienceHealth research backgroundAnnual Salary Range $00(US National Average)Base Compensation DeterminationBase Compensation is determined by market range and geographic location pay zones.
