Red Cedar TGis seeking a dynamic proactive and self-starting Data Architectto join our team in OFallon IL. This position is responsible for supporting our clients implementation of enterprise data architecture strategies practices and principles. The position supports a larger team providing enterprise data and engineering expertise.This position is at our clients location on site in OFallon IL with very limited telecommuting options.ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Data Architect who can report to Scott AFB this role you will design deploy and oversee the entire data architecture ensuring that information flows reliably and efficiently throughout the company. You will work closely with technology teams and organizational leadership to understand business needs translate them into structural requirements and develop clear standards for how data should be stored consumed integrated and governed.From day one youll take ownership of building a comprehensive inventory of the data we rely on and shaping a long-term blueprint that shows how that data moves across systems. Youll design and validate complex data models guide modifications and lead the implementation of scalable solutions. Your expertise will help establish and enforce database development standards that keep our systems healthy secure and consistent.A significant part of your work will focus on ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. Youll develop measures to validate data quality and continuously monitor performance making sure our data environment evolves with the needs of the business. You will be the steward of our data management systemsreviewing their performance identifying opportunities for improvement and refining processes to increase reliability and speed.To succeed in this role youll bring a strong understanding of data modeling tools and standards as well as experience with ETL tools and big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark SQL and NoSQL platforms. Youll apply that knowledge to create systems that not only meet technical requirements but also empower teams across the organization to make informed data-driven decisions.In short this role combines architecture strategy and hands-on design. Youll shape how our data is organized and leveraged ensuring that every system process and user can access trustworthy high-quality data when they need it most.RequirementsBS/BA in an IT or related disciplineExperience creating and managing data architectures3-5 years of experience; may substitute work experienceAbility to obtain a US government Secret clearanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work individually as well as with cross functional teamsExcellent oral and written communication skillsDesiredExperience with Air Mobility Command (AMC) US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) or Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) business C2 or IT systemsExposure to IT systems requirements analysis and engineeringUnderstanding of data storage (ER database data lake Lakehouse) and data transfer protocolsUnderstanding of data governance and normalizationExperience with Microsoft Office and VisioExperience with Erwin or Relational Database modeling softwareExposure to enterprise architecture frameworks such as DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)About Red Cedar TGHeadquartered in New Braunfels TX Red Cedar TG is focused on delivering enterprise application architecture project management and telecommunications solutions to federal state local government and commercial clients.
