This role requires a strong technical foundation in networking, extensive hands-on data center hardware experience, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced 24/7 operational setting. You will be responsible for implementing network changes, installing and troubleshooting data center equipment, and maintaining structured cabling and infrastructure integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement network changes and support ongoing data center network operationsInstall and remove network hardware, servers, and related equipment in data center racksMount servers, secure equipment, connect Ethernet/power cables, and neatly route cables per provided schematicsTroubleshoot network hardware issues without impacting adjacent infrastructurePerform structured cabling (copper/fiber) installations and cable testingMaintain accurate asset inventory and update internal tracking systemsSupport data center infrastructure projects and operational tasksWork rotating 812 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysParticipate in occasional business-required travelRequired Experience & Skills6+ years of experience in data center operations or related technical rolesStrong foundational networking knowledge, including:Routing protocolsLayer 2 protocols such as ARP, ICMPExperience installing and managing network racks, servers, cabling, and power systemsHands-on expertise with structured cabling (copper and fiber) and cable testingAbility to work safely and effectively around critical data center infrastructureAbility to perform physical hands-on work in racks and raised-floor environmentsExperience with data center infrastructure project workAbility to work in a 24/7/365 rotating shift environmentPreferred QualificationsCCNA certification strongly preferredPrior experience in high-availability, mission-critical data center environmentsFamiliarity with asset management tools and documentation systems
