Data Center Facility O&M Lead EngineerCompany:Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Data Center Facility O&M Lead Engineer to join our team in Aurora CO supporting a newly constructed facility.This position will lead all aspects of facility operations to drive high-reliability and to continuously implement industry leading O&M methodologies and technologies. Directly focused on support facility infrastructure i.e. resilient power distribution cooling systems facility management/industrial control systems etc. Please note that this position does not include responsibilities for data management or data center rack operations but works closely with the data center management team.Position Responsibilities:Designing maintaining implementing or improving electrical and mechanical equipmentfacilities components or systems for data center infrastructure operationsPerforming a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design orengineering software and equipmentConferring with customers engineers and others to discuss existing or potentialengineering products or projectsResponsible for providing organizational leadership and technical oversight to facilityoperations and maintenance teamsEnsuring compliance with specifications codes or customer requirements by coordinatinginstallation construction maintenance documentation support/testing activitiesWriting reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineeringprojects and studiesPreparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materialsEstimating material labor or construction costs for budget preparationWorking with a variety of techniciansEngaged in final commissioning of facility to ensure required capabilities to meet customer requirementsResponsible for maintaining facility electrical and mechanical infrastructure in a newlyconstructed data centerAccountable for maintaining budget identifying justifying and implementing capitalexpendituresSpecial Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Ability to obtain a Sensitive Compartmented Information classification pre-startAbility to obtain an adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph pre-startBachelors degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering5 years experience as a chief engineer in operation and/or maintenanceProven leader of Facility O&M teamsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Professional Engineer licenseExperience working with U.S. Government customerUptime Institute CertificationDrug Free Workplace:Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Total Rewards & Pay Transparency:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
