Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Data Center Production Operations EngineerLocation: 6200 Technology Blvd, Sandston, VA 23150Pay rate: $42-$45/hr. + bonus + equity + benefitsJob Description:Seeking a Production Operations Engineer looking to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced and complex environment. A working knowledge of server hardware and the desire to participate in projects at a large-scale data center is central to this role.This position will work to resolve and diagnose compute issues at scale, escalate issues, and work with remote engineering teams. Additionally, this role will support rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and support cloud scale compute and storage environments. This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success. Job Responsibilities:Work within ticketing systemFirst point of contact for break fix techniciansResponsible for assisting with projects (retrofits, new process details, etc.) and repairs throughout the data centerUnderstand and debug hardware and Linux OS related issuesIdentify and help create documentation for the global data center knowledge baseAssist with process improvements and best practices in data center operationsParticipate in on-call rotation (once a month on call for a week, after hours, first point of contact)Minimum Qualifications:Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical field, or equivalent experience/certificationKnowledge of Linux and server hardware supportWorking knowledge and experience in at least one of the following core areas: Networking, Programming/Scripting, Hardware, or OS repairSolid communication skills are a requirement for this role.Preferred Qualifications:Working conceptual knowledge of technologies such as HTTP, DNS, RAID, and DHCPExperience modifying and developing in Python, SQL, and/or shell scriptingAbout Us:Founded in 2009, IntelliPro is a global leader in talent acquisition and HR solutions.
